To strengthen the country's wind-energy ecosystem, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, has launched WT-MARUT, India's first digital platform dedicated to wind-energy supply-chain management. Introduced by Union Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi, the platform is designed to improve coordination among manufacturers, suppliers, developers and policymakers. Industry stakeholders believe the initiative will enhance transparency, reduce logistical bottlenecks and accelerate project implementation. The launch comes at a time when India is seeking to scale up wind power capacity alongside solar energy to meet climate commitments and ensure long-term energy security.
