Nizamabad Farmers Lead the Way to Organic Farming

Inorganic farming mooted huge losses to paddy farmers during the last Kharif season, due to low yield and pests. However, organic paddy farmers obtained good yields and earned huge profits in Nizamabad district. Realizing the flipside of using chemicals, some farmers have switched over to organic farming, which involved reduced production cost and chemical residue. These farmers, under the banner of 'Sai Vegetables and Fruit Growers Mutually Cooperative Aided Society', aim to create an organic market. The society is a platform for organic farmers to sell their organic produce. They sell paddy and pulses and will soon sell fruits and vegetables.
